Fyrilestur um náttúru og djóralív

Í november og desember skipa vit fyri hugnaligum og spennandi fyrilestrum í hølum okkara í Bøgøtu. Fyrilestrarnir vara vanliga umleið 45 minuttir, og vit bjóða sjálvandi ein kaffimunn og okkurt søtt afturvið.

Vit hava bjóðað ymiskum vinum innumgátt – fólkum, ið øll hava tað til felags, at tey elska náttúru og djóralív. Nakrir eru úr Føroyum, onnur úr útheiminum, og tí verða fyrilestrarnir hildnir á føroyskum, donskum ella enskum – alt eftir gestinum.

Vit byrja fyrilestrarøðina við einari ferðafrásøgn úr útheiminum. Í fyrsta fyrilestrinum fer danski myndamaðurin og journalisturin Martin N. Johansen at taka okkum við til Afrika!

Martin er júst komin aftur úr Zambia, har hann hevur hjálpt til við arbeiði innan djóravernd og avmyndað alskyns djór á savannuni, millum annað leyvur, áarross og giraffar.

Martin fer at greiða frá, hví hetta arbeiði er so týdningarmikið, hvussu tað fer fram, og hvussu ein doyvd leyva kann fáa pulsin hjá tær upp í topp!

Lecture on Nature and Wildlife

In November and December, we’re hosting a series of fun and engaging talks in our office in Bøgøta. The talks usually last around 45 minutes, and we’ll be serving coffee and something sweet on the side.

We’ve invited a range of friends to share their stories – people who all share a love for nature and wildlife. Some are from the Faroe Islands, others from abroad, and the talks will therefore be held in Faroese, Danish, or English – depending on the guest speaker.

We open the lecture series with a journey abroad. In the first talk, Danish photographer and journalist Martin N. Johansen will take us to Africa!

Martin has just returned from Zambia, where he assisted with wildlife conservation work and photographed all kinds of animals on the savannah – including lions, hippos, and giraffes.

He will talk about why this work is so important, how it’s carried out – and how even an anaesthetised lion can get your pulse racing!
